Welcome!

This is the official web site of Greystone Village HOA in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Greystone Village is a community of over 830 homes in 16 neighborhoods.

We have three lakes, thousands of trees, and the Greystone Swim & Racquet Club.

Our Homeowners' Association is managed by the Greystone Association Board of Directors with Charleston Management Corporation. All Greystone homeowners are invited to the meetings.

Feel free to contact the board for information about Greystone Village, our Homeowners' Association, our meetings, and our amenities.

Copperhead on Greystone Lake!

On Saturday, Sept. 13, a dog was bitten by a copperhead snake while their owners walked him around Greystone Lake. They think the snake was curled up on the side of the pathway, and before they realized what was happening, the dog sniffed and the snake struck. They got their dog to a vet quickly and he's okay, but he was quite sick and on meds for a couple of weeks.

North Raleigh Whole Foods

A new Whole Foods Market is being planned for the intersection of Six Forks Road and Colonnade Drive (just south of Six Forks & Strickland). Its developers, Regency Centers, met our board's conditions: that Whole Foods sign the lease and confirmation that the site's stormwater does not run into Greystone waterways. Both conditions have been met; now it needs to go through rezoning from office/industrial to retail.

We are still waiting to hear the outcome of the September 4 North CAC vote. Please check back here over the coming weeks for updates.

To voice your opinion, be sure to attend the City Council meeting on October 21, 6:30pm, in the City Council Chambers.

For information in favor of the project and to sign the petition, go to http://www.bringwholefoods.org.

Catalytic Converter Theft - Keep an Eye Out!

At the Sept. 4 North CAC meeting a police sergeant told us that the most common and serious crime around Raleigh lately is theft of catalytic converters.

Converters are stolen in broad daylight, particularly from cars high off the ground, like SUVs. Toyota SUVs are being hit the most, but many large cars are. It’s easy for the people stealing them to get under a high car and take out the converter in few minutes, anywhere at any time.

They’re being stolen for the platinum inside, and it costs $2000-3000 to replace a converter. He said that if you see anyone suspiciously hanging around cars any time of day to let the police know. They really want to catch them, and it’s not easy.
